“Sign, sign, everywhere a sign…”(or there should be)

Western New York enjoys a rich, rich, history of handpainted custom signs, and one local talented entrepreneur is passionate about continuing this time honored craft – one custom sign at a time. Now, Wilson resident, Cam Worczak pushed away from a successful Legal Marketing firm, relocated to the shores of Lake Ontario, and eventually set out on a career in custom sign painting and fabrication. “I felt unfulfilled in my previous role”, and while at considerable risk to his personal income, he was confident that he could make a living on his own talents. So Cam and partner, Lauren, purchased a stately Farmhouse on Route 18. Initially both occupants were disturbed by the constant traffic and noise. But eventually Cam translated that high exposure location into an opportunity to strut his newly formed business. He displayed his unique, and often tongue-in-cheek custom signs, unmistakably front and center on his property. It was this creative and purposeful marketing that brought this writer to become one of many satisfied customers.

Cam’s ability to marry traditional “execute by hand” techniques with contemporary digital tool technology has produced impeccable eye catching results, worthy of the masters in two short years. While he stops short of boasting of his work, Cam’s guiding principles are to produce a “Consistent, Careful, and Clean” piece of art that gets noticed. He is adamant that provocation, politics, and profanity have no place in the true spirit of Custom Sign-making.
